Wriggletto, a unique music and movement experience, is delighted to offer Music Together classes for infants to five year olds - and the grown-ups who love them!

The classes build on your child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. We'll help you provide your child with the basic musical skills needed to enjoy social musical activities and to have great fun while doing so! Better yet, you can help, with what ever dancing feet and singing voice you have been given!


What is Music Together?

*An internationally recognised, research-based early childhood music programme first offered to the public in the USA in 1987, now taught worldwide.

*Musical fun for families, sharing songs, instrument play, rhythm chants, finger-plays and movement activities in a non-performance-oriented setting that is relaxed and playful.

*45 minutes of pure fun with your preschool children once per week over ten weeks.

*Children participating at their own levels in family-style classes of mixed ages.

*Music learned through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the unique learning styles of very young children.

*A new song collection every term for three years, featuring great arrangements of original and traditional songs in a wide variety of styles.

Each Music Together class is based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning. This is where you, the parent, come in! By emphasizing actual music-making experiences both in the class and at home, rather than concepts about music, Music Together introduces children (and often, their parents too!) to the pleasures of making music - instead of passively receiving it from CDs or TV.

Central to the Music Together approach is that young children learn best from the powerful role model of parents/caregivers who are actively making music. The programme brings families together by providing a rich musical environment in the classroom and by facilitating family participation in musical activity at home within the context of daily life. In other words, Wriggletto classes will provide you with lots of new musical games and songs to sing with your little ones while changing nappies, brushing teeth and the daily routines from which little minds want lots of distractions!
